Public Invited to January 13 Wayne State University Press Author Event at Fox Run in Novi, MI
The Wayne State University Alumni Group at Fox Run retirement community in Novi, MI, will host five authors published by Wayne State University Press on Sunday, January 13, from 2:30 - 4 p.m.
The authors, who write about Michigan and Detroit subject matter, will discuss their work, answer questions and sign copies of their books. "Coney Detroit" by Katherine Yung and Joe Grimm (Published March 2012). A lively and thorough history of Detroit's culinary icon: the coney island hot dog. Joe Grimm, co-author of "Coney Detroit," will speak about his book and sign copies.
"Michigan's Historic Railroad Stations" by Michael H. Hodges (Published October 2012) A photographic survey of 31 railroad stations around the state of Michigan with architectural observations and short histories of each. Michael Hodges, author of "Michigan's Historic Railroad Stations," will speak about his book and sign copies.
"Detroit's Historic Places of Worship" compiled and edited by Marla O. Collum, Barbara E. Krueger, and Dorothy Kostuch; Photographs by Dirk Bakker with a Foreword by John Gallagher (Published September 2012). A vibrantly photographed historical survey of significant Detroit houses of worship. Barbara Krueger, co-author of "Detroit's Historic Places of Worship," will speak about her book and sign copies.
