Novi Election Results: Bob Gatt Wins Mayoral Race; Casey, Staudt, Wrobel Win City Council

Here are the unofficial results from the Nov. 8 election.

Bob Gatt will be Novi's new mayor for a two-year term, capturing 62 percent of votes Tuesday. Gatt beat out Justin Fischer to become David Landry's successor, whose term ended this year.

Incumbents Dave Staudt and Wayne Wrobel kept their seats on the City Council, joined by newcomer Laura Casey. Wrobel edged out challenger Ed Kramer by just 16 votes. Staudt, Wrobel and Casey will serve four-year terms.

Incumbents George Kortlandt and Bobbie Murphy also kept their seats on the Novi Board of Education for another four-year term.

Thank you PATCH for providing election results. I turned on channel 13 (the city channel) this morning, but gave up after a minute of watching the same screen with Northville school results. Although the channel directed me to the website, when I went there I couldn't find a thing. Shame on our city for not communicating this very important information to its residents.

I saw that the results were up last night on the city's website, under the "Novi Today" section.
