Novi's Anytime Fitness Nears 5 Month Anniversary

Anytime Fitness members can get a workout 24/7 365 days a year. 

The gym opened its Novi location, 47980 Grand River Ave., in late December across from Providence Park Hospital and is owned by David and Karla Michael of Hartland. 

The Novi Chamber of Commerce organized an official ribbon cutting Friday to recognize Anytime Fitness' place in Novi with the owners, store employees and community members. See video of the ribbon cutting above.

"We've had a lot of other Anytime Fitness members transfer here," said Patrick May, manager of the Novi location.

The fitness franchise has been around for 10 years and now has nearly 2,000 locations across the nation — all of which its members are welcome to use.

What's unique about the gym is that members get their own key to the door, so they can come and exercise any time they want on any day of the year. The gym is staffed and the doors are open during the day, but members can let themselves in at night.

Anytime Fitness is also expected to open in Northville, May said.
