After Failed Presidential Bid, McCotter Penned Racy TV Pilot

U.S. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Livonia), who recently dropped write-in effort for re-election to Congress, penned self-deprecating comedic television script.

After a short-lived presidential run last year, U.S. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter focused his efforts on writing a racy TV show, the Detroit News has reported.

McCotter, a Livonia Republican representing Michigan's 11th Congressional District, penned a 42-minute script for "Bumper Sticker: Made On Motown," a racy television comedy pilot, the News reported after a script was leaked to the newspaper by a disgruntled former McCotter staffer.

The show, described by the News as starring "McCotter hosting a crude variety show cast with characters bearing the nicknames of his congressional staffers, his brother and a drunk, perverted 'Black Santa,'" riffs on drinking, sex, race, flatulence, puking and women's anatomy, the report said.

McCotter launched a presidential bid one year ago to seek the Republican nomination but, citing a lack of media interest, dropped from the race.

His bid for re-election to Congress didn't fare much better.

After 87 percent of McCotter's petition signatures for re-election to Congress were deemed invalid, he launched a short-lived write-in campaign in June, but ended the effort just days later. The cause of the petition discrepancy remains under investigation.

With McCotter out of the face, Milford Republican Kerry Bentivolio now is the only Republican appearing on the ballot, but he will face write-in challenges from Republicans Nancy Cassis of Novi and the Rev. Drexel Morton of Canton. Democrat Dr. Syed Taj of Canton will face LaRouche Democrat Bill Roberts of Redford.

McCotter told the News the work wasn't yet finished and was leaked without his permission, and told reporters he didn't write the show on taxpayers' time, but in his garage where he "can smoke."

Dr. Taj is endorsed by the Democratic Party, not that other "Democrat" who wants to impeach the President.

His resignation came about 9 years too late! McCotter's thought process is flawed and it is evident in his actions, speeches, and comments.
