Suburban Collection Showplace Hotel To Be Completed July 2013

The new Hyatt Place Hotel to be built attached to the has a new completion date of July 1, 2013 -- six months later than previously aniticipated.

When the Novi City Council to owner Blair Bowman to build the hotel back in October, its agreement listed a completion date of Dec. 31, 2012. 

The Showplace, which is owned by TBON, asked the city council for an extension because it was unlikely that construction would be completed by the end of the year. The council at its March 12 meeting and approved the extension at its March 26 meeting.

The Showplace's tax incentive, for which zero property taxes will have to paid on the hotel, lasts until 2017.

The planned hotel will have six stories and 128 rooms.
