Weekend Planner: Antiques Show, 5K, and Concerts

Looking for something to do this weekend in Novi? Here are some ideas.

Novi's Third Annual Emergency Run

  • Where: Providence Park Hospital
  • When: Saturday. Registration begins at 8 a.m., run is at 9 a.m.
  • Pricing: $35 day-off registration for 5K, $15 for one mile walk
  • Why Go: Support health and safety initiatives in the Novi community by running in the third annual Emergency 5K or walking in the one mile Stroke Walk. 

Cherry Tree Plantings

  • Where: Assarian Cancer Center, Providence Park Hospital
  • When: Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11: 30 a.m.
  • Pricing: Free
  • Why Go: Join fellow community members for in celebrating the city's friendship of Japan with a cherry tree planting. There will also be light refreshments and a Japanese language yoga class.
  • Where: Novi Meadows Elementary
  • When: Saturday 3-4 p.m.
  • Pricing: Free
  • Why Go: Novi Meadows and Japanese School of Detroit students will be sharing their collaborative art project with the community. Light refreshments will follow a planting ceremony.

Beauty & the Beast

  • Where: Novi Civic Theatre (in the Novi Civic Center)
  • When: Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday at 2 p.m.
  • Pricing: $15 for adults and $12 for children and seniors
  • Why Go: See local actors bring the classic fairy tale to life.

Novi Choralaires Concert

  • Where: Novi Middle School
  • When: Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
  • Pricing: $12
  • Why Go: See Novi's community chorus perform their annual spring concert. The Choralaires will be performing songs from across the nation.

Antiques Market

  • Where: Suburban Collection Showplace
  • When: Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Pricing: $10. Children are free
  • Why Go: Bring in an item for one free apraisal, sell your antiques or treasure hunt from more than 80 dealers.

Scapbooking Show

  • Where: Suburban Collection Showplace
  • When: Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Pricing: $10 plus a $5 parking fee
  • Why Go: Learn new techniques, shop for the latest products and scrapbook special memories.
