Weekend Planner: Farmers' Market, Cipriano 5K, and Outdoor Concert

Looking for something to do this weekend in Novi? Here are some ideas:

Cipriano 5K Benefit

  • Where: YMCA, 28100 Farmington Rd, Farmington Hills
  • When: Friday 6:30 p.m.
  • Pricing: $30 registration
  • Why Go: Support the Cipriano family by participating in the 5K run/walk to benefit the Cipriano Children's Fund.

Outdoor Concert

  • Where: Downtown Northville
  • When: Friday 7 p.m.
  • Pricing: Free
  • Why Go: Bring your chair and listen to David Gerald play some Mississippi Blues out by the gazebo.

Police & Fire Benevolent Association Fundraiser

  • Where: Links of Novi
  • When: Friday 7-11 p.m
  • Pricing: $50
  • Why Go: Support the Benevolent Association at its first ever Corks, Canvas & Classic fundraiser. The public is invited to enjoy the evening of wine tasting, jazz music, art displays and a strolling dinner.

Friendraiser

  • Where:Novi Public Library patio
  • When: Friday 7-9 p.m.
  • Pricing: Free if you are currently a 'Friend' of the library and you bring a new 'Friend.' It's also free if you sign up to become a 'Friend' at the event.
  • Why Go: Support the library's Friends group in its first annual fundraiser. Enjoy the outdoor patio and listen to some live music.

Novi Farmers' Market

  • Where: Fuerst Park
  • When: Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Pricing: Free
  • Why Go: Stop by the Farmers' Market for its season opening and enjoy live music while shopping for fresh produce and other items.
