Since I started my blog, I've noticed a few things that go on sale frequently. One of those things was on sale this past week (at Meijer), and that is country ribs. Previous to last summer, I had never had them before. Now, I'm a HUGE fan! There is SO much meat on them, and you really can't beat the price. f you've never had country ribs before, you've been missing out. They are SO succulant and meaty. They won't leave you hungry by any means!
These ribs were SO incredibly easy to assemble. They are perfect for any busy parent or professional. You'll love the ease of putting these in before you leave for work in the morning and coming home to an amazingly cooked meal! Oh, and your house will smell amazing too!
So, give 'em a try. You won't be sorry!
Asian Style Country Ribs
Ingredients
3-4 lb. country ribs (boneless or bone-in)
1/2 cup soy sauce (I used low sodium)
1/2-3/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. sesame seeds
2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar (or if you have rice vinegar, use that. I did not.)
6 scallions (approx.) cut on a bias (not pictured because I forgot :()
Directions
Mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, sesame seeds and red wine vinegar. Place the ribs in your crock and pour the sauce over the top.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7-9 hours or on HIGH for 4-5 hours. The last half hour, add some your scallions ... unlike me who forgot! Enjoy!
