DESCRIPTION:The Northville Art House's latest exhibit\, "Anarchy of the L
 ine\;  Drawing Comes of Age\," is now on display. The show continues thr
 ough March 24 during Art House gallery hours\, Wednesdays through Saturd
 ays\, 1-5 p.m.\nThe Northville Art House describes the show as thus:\n"D
 rawing once served solely as a means to an end &ndash\; a step in the  f
 ormulation of an idea on its way to a painting or sculpture. But  &ldquo
 \;drawing&rdquo\; deserved better\, and artists in recent decades have r
 ecognized  the spontaneity and freedom of the unfettered line as a new  
 destination. Without constraint as to subject or material\, the  Northvi
 lle Art House proudly celebrates the explosion of creativity that  is dr
 awing today and presents a remarkable group of local artists whose  work
  pushes all boundaries:"\n\nCorrie Baldauf - 2011 Kresge recepient who m
 akes drawings based on experience and time.\nMatthew Boonstra - Incorpor
 ates used oil as a medium to comment on our effect on our world.\nMatthe
 w Breneau - Makes three-dimensional abstract drawings from carved wood. 
 \nPatricia Candor - Uses simple materials to create mysterious drawings 
 that vibrate with movement.\nLarry Cressman - Uses nature as a source of
  his lines.\nBarbara Dorchen - Makes drawings based on time.\nJ.H. Dozie
 r - Combines photographs\, painting and drawing to create abstract image
 s in the digital medium.\nFranklin Jonas - Uses geometry to explore his 
 obsession with the 5-pointed star.\nShaqe Kalaj - Makes non-traditional 
 drawings with her feet as public performance art.\nChris Lujan - Uses co
 ffee\, ink\, pen and paper creating works that capture the memory of chi
 ldhood.\nJohn McLaughlin - A self-taught artist whose drawings come from
  the subconscious.\nCorinne Pemberton - Layers scribbles to create vibra
 nt abstract drawings.\nDolores Slowinski - Draws abstract images by stit
 ching with thread on paper.\nMary Williams - Make drawings of ordinary l
