2 Novi Boy Scouts Achieve Eagle Scout Rank

Novi Boy Scouts Eric Ballard and Christopher Kohut were congratulated Monday night for achieving Eagle Scout status.

Novi Mayor Bob Gatt presented the scouts with a proclamation at the Novi City Council meeting.

"That's quite an accomplishment. You should be very proud of yourselves. I know we're very proud of you as a city council," Gatt said.

To receive their awards, Christopher constructed a bridge at Tollgate Farm, while Eric constructed an addition to the maple sugar house at Tollgate.

Both scouts organized and managed a group of adults and fellow scout volunteers to complete their projects.

The two scouts were recognized for their patriotism, courage and self-reliance.
