Survivors, Supporters Rally at 24-Hour Relay for Life

Several teams from Novi and Northville walked and raised money at Relay for Life this weekend.

Novi and Northville came together this weekend to fight cancer at Relay for Life.

It is estimated that over 18,000 residents in Wayne and Oakland counties will be diagnosed with cancer. Out of that number, over 6,000 are estimated to not make it to their next birthday, according to Relay for Life.

The Northville/Novi community Relay for Life overnight event helped raise funds to fight cancer, honored those who were lost to the disease and celebrated those who have fought or are currently fighting.

According to Relay for Life, one in three people in the U.S. will be told, “You have cancer.” Volunteers from the Novi and Northville communities helped in the fight to stop that from happening.
