Free Admission at the DIA

The Detroit Institute of Arts' Inside/Out program brings reproductions of renowned artworks to area communities, including Novi. As a thank-you to communities for making the project a success, the DIA will offer free admission to Novi residents on Aug. 7. (Be sure to bring ID for four free general admissions to the museum.)

For reproductions in Novi, visit the Suburban Collection Showplace to see George Caleb Bingham's The Trappers' Return; Emagine Theaters to see Willibald Wex's Konigsee; Twelve Oaks Mall to view Pierre-Auguste Renoir's Woman in an Armchair; Fuerst Park's Self-Portrait by Vincent van Gogh; Novi Public Library's copy of Martin Johnson Heade's Seascape: Sunset; and the Civic Center's Berenice Reproaching Ptolemy, by Jean-Joseph Taillason.

Then check out the originals, for free, at the DIA, part of its Family Sunday program.
