Lisa Glickoff, founder of makeup training studio Astute Artistry, has teamed with The Dirty Martini of Novi for HAUNTED, a Metro Detroit wide contest and party to find Michigan’s Best Special F/X Makeup Artist.
On Saturday, Oct. 22, the Dirty Martini will populated with loads of creative metro Detroiters, including makeup artists, stylists, photographers and more. There will be three contests held. Complimentary appetizers will be served from 8-10 p.m., and the contest judging and fashion show begins at 11 p.m.
Any makeup artist in Michigan can participate. Winners of this contest will win cash prizes as well as a $1,000 professional photo shoot from metro Detroit photographer Saleem Chaudry. The grand prize winner also receive media coverage, including magazine features.

Glickoff's background includes doing makeup at the 2006 Oscars, and working with Deborah Messing and Nicolette Sheridan. Lori Pinson from WWJ-TV/CBS will be hosting. A silent auction will benefit a local charity. Tickets are available online at neptix.com.
