Novi Hosts Great Lakes Art Fair This Weekend

The annual Fall Great Lakes Art Fair will be at Suburban Collection Showplace this weekend. The fair offers local artists an opportunity to showcase their artwork in a single, indoor location. This event will include live entertainment, food and vendors.

Hours are Friday from 1-8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Highlights include the following:

Andiamo Ladies Night

Only for Ladies, on Friday, an admission of $3.50 gets you a free glass of wine, champagne or specialty drink, plus an Andiamo gift card worth up to $500 (while supplies last). 

Generation Next Art Displays

A mission of the fair is to give students recognition and a venue to showcase their artwork, as well as help them gain understanding and appreciation for the art industry.

Grand Gallery Entrance

The Landscape Group to deliver an immensely enjoyable event experience. Patrons will enter through the elegant Grand Garden Gallery which features an expansive seasonal display showcasing select works from featured artists. Envision towering rustic panels framing sculptures, paintings and florals that sweep patrons immediately into the authentic village atmosphere of the fair.

Marketplace Café

The Great Lakes Art Fair will be offering fare in the Marketplace Café, and the menu features a variety of bistro style items. The Marketplace Café anchors the center of the show floor and mirrors the look and feel of a cozy street café.

The Main Stage

The Main Stage will feature performances by local music groups to round out the entertainment and dance troupes.

Artist Demonstrations

The fair will feature demonstrations in the areas of painting and ceramics, plus there will be a blacksmith on-site creating stunning metal pieces all weekend long.
