Novi Civic Theatre To Hold Auditions for "Stuart Little"

Children are invited to audition on Aug. 28 and 29.

The Novi Civic Theatre is seeking young actors in grades 2nd through 6th to be a part of an upcoming production of The Adventures of Stuart Little. Auditions will be held Aug. 28 and 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the , 45175 W. 10 Mile Road, between Taft and Novi Roads.

For those who prefer to be behind the scenes, the production provides the opportunity to learn about costuming, lighting and sound. Those interested in performing and working behind the scenes must come to the audition. If cast, participants are expected to pay the $110 registration fee. Rehearsals begin Sept. 4 and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-7pm.

The audition packet is available online at cityofnovi.org, novicivictheatre.org and at the City of Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services office. It is suggested that actors call 248-347-0400 to sign up for an audition time. Walk-ins will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • Thursday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. (This is a special show for student field trips and seniors.)
  • Friday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 17, 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 18, 2 p.m.

Stuart Little tells the story of the adventures of a heroic and debonair stalwart mouse with human qualities. Stuart faces some comic misadventures while searching for his lost bird friend and living with a human family as their child. The play is based on the novel by E.B. White, his first for children, and is widely recognized as a classic in children's literature.
