Novi High School Student's Artwork Purchased by District

The Novi Community School District chose Elizabeth Sheeran's work for this year's student art purchase.

Each year, the Novi Community School District buys a piece of art created by a Novi student. This year, administrators chose the piece Bloomed by Elizabeth Sheeran, who will be a senior at this fall.

Elizabeth created the ceramic vase as a student in the Erin Harbar's Ceramics II class, and the Novi Board of Education presented Elizabeth with a check for $200 for her work at its meeting Thursday night.

The ceramic vase was created out of individual coils of clay hand-built together. Elizabeth then carved in the design before firing and glazing the piece.
