Only 4 Days Until the Michigan State Fair Comes to Novi

The Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair will bring a ton of fun to Novi this Labor Day weekend.

The Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair will be in Novi for Labor Day weekend.

Enjoy the fun from Friday to Monday, beginning at 10 a.m. each day.

The fair will be both inside and outside of Novi’s Suburban Collection Showplace. Novi Mayor Bob Gatt said at the opening of Hyatt Place last week that the Suburban Collection Showplace has attracted great events, like the fair, to Novi every year.

Mike Watts, Executive Directive for the Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair, said, “This is a very new facility with ample parking and the perfect family venue for an event like this. This is one of the nicest places we could have a state fair, so we are really proud this is where the fair can call its new home.”

Look forward to new attractions at this year's fair, like racing pigs and the butter cow.

Plus, Fifth Third Bank is going to have a wifi hot spot and charging station to provide fairgoers with financial information and allow people to send emails if they choose. Bright House Networks will also have a fan zone area that offers TV, so people don’t miss the Michigan or Michigan State football games that are happening this same weekend.

The Detroit Shrine Circus will also be at the fair.

“It’s a Detroit tradition, and I think the people are really excited about going to a fair where you can see more than only farm animals. I think this is what makes our fair stand out above the rest, while helping support the Shriners volunteer organization,” Watts said.

Tickets are available on the fair website and are discounted from those purchased at the door. Also, finding the Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair on Facebook offers fairgoers an additional discount for this event as well. Find out more about ticket prices here.
