NFL Features Walled Lake Western Football Game

The Warriors' annual PINK OUT football game supports breast cancer treatment and research.

Walled Lake Western High School, with about a quarter of its student body living in Novi, held the third annual "Warriors for Warriors" PINK OUT football game last month.

The game — which supports breast cancer, awareness, treatment and research — got national attention when the National Football League (NFL) posted video from the game on its website this week.

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the NFL is highlighting sports teams that are embracing the pink campaign. In cooperation with the Western Warriors football team and with the support of the Walled Lake Consolidated School District, Walled Lake Western High School did just that.
