Farmington Hills Kroger Celebrates Grand Re-Opening

Remodeled store offers attractive shopping environment and many conveniences.

Kroger shoppers will discover an inviting atmosphere and many new products and expanded services during the grand re-opening of the Farmington Hills store on June 18, according to a news release.

The 46,295-square-foot store, located at 25780 Middlebelt Road, will celebrate the $3.68 million renovation with grand re-opening specials and the launch of amenities such as hot soup and a new service meat case.

Other store updates include a larger Pharmacy with a consultation room and features to create a more customer-friendly experience. The delicatessen, bakery and meat departments have been moved to provide greater accessibility and convenience, with the produce, frozen and meat departments upgraded to offer greater selection. The Farmington Hills Kroger store also includes a kosher-friendly section and extensive floral department.

“We listened to customer requests and responded with the quality products and services our busy shoppers desire,” said Chris Shura, store manager, Farmington Hills Kroger. “We updated the entire building to bring a fresh new look and improved the store layout so customers can quickly and easily navigate through the store center to locate merchandise.”    

Additional amenities include colorful, bountiful décor and accent lighting to present a pleasant shopping environment. Customers will also find new food cases, check lanes and redesigned customer restrooms. The store moved the recycle room to the front for easy access and the entire facility is working toward ENERGY STAR certification, with LED lighting and other energy-efficient initiatives.

The grand re-opening celebration will begin at 9 a.m., with normal store hours from 6 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Sunday.
