Novi Food Company Named One of Fastest Growing Companies in U.S.

National Food Group was honored for the third year in a row.

National Food Group has been placed on Inc. 5000’s prestigious list of America’s fastest growing private companies (moving up again to spot #2433) for the third year in a row, putting the family-owned Michigan-based business in the same rarified company of Levi Strauss, Microsoft, and Pandora.

National Food Group, founded in 1990, is one of America’s fastest growing distributors and marketers of food for large volume, government and non-profit markets. The company is based out of Novi with a branch in San Diego.

In tough economic times, National Food Group has successfully and consistently expanded since 2007. Innovation is one of the core values for the company and 2012 has been the benchmark of that value. This year, National Food Group has taken further steps to solidify even more growth and catapult the company forward: upgrading computer systems, office expansions, releasing a new nutrition bar line for K-12, and hiring 13 new employees since Jan. 2011.

President Sean Zecman is excited about the news of the company being honored for a third year with Inc 5000.

“In business, you are either growing or shrinking. This list shows that 5,000 privately-held companies are growing and conducting their business the right way. It shows that National Food Group, particularly, is making a difference in our customers and employees’ lives," Zecman said.
