Novi's Cheesecake Factory Nears Completion

Workers are adding the finishing touches to The Cheesecake Factory in Novi.

The Novi location is the first and only one in Michigan and is opening at Twelve Oaks Mall August 13.

"It's a very fun, lively atmosphere," said Ann Hausa, of Plymouth. "It definitely will bring more people to the mall."

Her daughter, Gabrielle, said she has been to the restaurant before and loves ordering their cheeseburgers. Although excited, the Hausas said they will wait until after the opening when the lines die down to check it out.

The restaurant is opening in the former location of Tin Fish and is a two-story 8,220 square foot structure, said Rich Carlson, G.B. Mannisto construction assistant superintendent.

The property, next to Nordstrom, opens onto the parking lot and includes a 1,250 square foot outdoor patio, Carlson said.

Employees are training now and learning the ins and outs of the restaurant's extensive menu. First-time customers at The Cheesecake Factory can look forward to much more than cheesecake. Choose from cheeseburgers, pizza, steak, enchiladas and more.
