Red Lobster Celebrates Grand Reopening in Novi [VIDEO]

Red Lobster in Novi has a whole new nautical look, inside and out.

Novi's Red Lobster has been a part of the community since 1983.

The recently remodeled restaurant celebrated its grand reopening Friday, at 27760 Novi Road, with the Novi Chamber of Commerce.

The exterior architecture is reminiscent of New England. The new elements include ship lanterns to welcome guests in after dark and Adirondack-style chairs to encourage guest conversation and mingling outside.

Interior features include expanded seating for large parties, LED lighting, additional energy-saving upgrades and a nautical theme throughout like signal flags and seaside-inspired artwork.

How Red Lobster gives back

Red Lobster is a division of Darden Restaurants, Inc. and supports the community through two main programs: Darden Harvest and Darden Foundation Restaurant Community Grants.

  • Through the Restaurant Community Grants program, which partners with the Darden Foundation, Red Lobster restaurants in Michigan have donated more than $50,000 to 34 organizations across the state, including local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters, the Boys & Girls Club and local food banks.
Editor's note: A previous version of this post included a different number of organizations to which Red Lobster donated. That number has been corrected.
