Walmart Makes Black Friday Shopping Easier

The retailer will introduce a new wristband system for Black Friday shoppers.

Walmart will use a new system to make shopping easier on Black Friday, which starts Thursday this year.

"Customers get in line and get a wristband," said Aaron Quimby, store manager for Novi's Walmart.

For the first time in all stores, customers can secure their wristband and shop for other gifts throughout the store on Thursday until the 6 and 8 p.m. events start. Read more about the 21 items available during the One-Hour Guarantee event.

Quimby said customers can get the wristbands two hours before the item goes on sale. With a wristband, customers can come back to the designated line within two hours of the event's start to pick up the item.

Walmart is also bringing back this year its online store map and mobile app that show where each Black Friday sale item is available. Read more.
