Remember to pay your summer taxes today.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the Novi area as of late Tuesday was $3.65 per gallon at the Speedway on Haggerty Road and 14 Mile Road.

3. Summer taxes are due today

Novi summer property taxes are due at the treasurer's office by midnight today. Payments can also be submitted after hours in the drop box behind the . Don't be late. Payments submitted past the deadline will be assessed a 4 percent penalty.

4. Donate blood today

The American Red Cross has to make up for the 60 blood drives it had to cancel for Hurricane Irene. You can donate in Novi from 2-8 p.m. today at .

5. Have lunch with coach Babcock

Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock will be the keynote speaker at the Livonia & Networking Luncheon on Sept. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend, but tickets are selling quickly, with more than 260 already sold.
