Today is a late-start day for Novi schools.

1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 37 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight it will be partly cloudy with a low around 25 degrees.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the Novi area as of Tuesday night was $3.24 per gallon at the Shell on 13 Mile and Novi roads.

3. Winter Band Concert

's Winter Band Concert is tonight at 7 in the auditorium. The concert will feature performances from the Concert Band, Symphony Band and Wind Ensemble. Afterward, the band community invites attendees to the "Afterglow in the Atrium" for refreshments and music by the Jazz Band.

4. Reminder: Late-start day today

Today is another late-start day for . Students will all start classes two hours later than usual while teachers and staff have a morning full of professional development. What do you think of the new late-start days this year?

5. 70th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor
