Weekend Planner: Lakefront Living, Art from the Attic and More

The weekend is coming! Let Patch help you make plans.

Let's look ahead to what's going on the next few days. We've got classic movies, Art from the Attic, and plenty more for your amusement.

Cottage & Lakefront Living Show

  • Where:
  • When: 2-9:30 p.m. Thursday-Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday
  • Pricing: $10 adults, $4 kids 6-14, free for ages 5 and younger, $5 parking
  • Why Go: It's all things cottage, cabin and lakefront living at this expo. Enjoy exhibits, displays, educational opportunities, entertainment and more. Perfect for people looking for a getaway, it's away from home or turning your home into a place of escape.

Art from the Attic

  • Where:
  • When: Opening sale and reception 6-9 p.m. Friday. Public art sale 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday.
  • Pricing: Free, except for Friday's opening sale and reception, which costs $10 to attend.
  • Why Go: The Northville Art House holds its second Art from the Attic, where it will accept "used" or new art on Feb. 22, and the public can then buy art at the opening reception or during the public sale hours. For  information about donating art, or to purchase a ticket for the opening sale and reception call 248-344-0497.

Super Saturday

  • Where:
  • When: 4-6 p.m. Saturday
  • Pricing: $7 Novi residents, $8.50 non-residents
  • Why Go: The City of Novi Senior Center hosts a Super Saturday, with this weekend's theme being the Nifty Fifties, "Let's Rock Around the Clock." Afternoon includes a meal and live entertainment.

Movies at the Marquis

  • Where:
  • When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday
  • Pricing: $3 in advance, $5 at the door
  • Why Go: Enjoy a classic film this evening, in this case 1963's Bye Bye Birdie, starring Ann-Margret, Janet Leigh and Dick Van Dyke.

More events

  • Love Me Knot ... An Italian Wedding continues at Genitti's Hole In The Wall. Enjoy a full meal and an interactive comedy. Lunch times are 11:30 a.m. Feb. 23, and dinner times are 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and 25. Lunch package is $35, and dinner is $49.95.
  • Addicted to Games ... Not Drugs, at . The Novi Youth Council and Novi Police present three hours of gaming, bowling and snacks, 9 a.m.-noon Friday, for $10.
