Gwen Markham, newly elected city councilwoman, will serve her first four-year term for the City of Novi.

Judge Brian MacKenzie, of Novi's 52nd District Court, conducted the swearing-in ceremony Tuesday at the Novi Civic Center.
Markham — the only new face on city council — is an 18-year resident of Novi and ran for Oakland County Commissioner for the 9th District last year and Novi city council in 1997.
