Newcomer Candidate Seeks Novi City Council Seat

Voters will choose candidates to fill three Novi city council seats and the mayoral seat on Nov. 5. Novi resident Alexander Fera is running for one of the spots.

Fera answered questions from Patch about his campaign platform for city council.

Could you tell us about your education, relevant to this position?

I graduated from Novi High School and am Currently Studying Computer Information Systems and Business Administration.

I was born here in Michigan and spent most of my life in the Novi area.  I have lived in the City of Novi for the past 8 years.

I am running for Novi City Council because I feel with my age, I could bring a fresh perspective and new ideas towards making Novi an even better community to live in.  I also believe that my age group is not represented at any level of government.

• I will support the continuation of the multi-year financial plan.  I will support working with other municipalities to determine if we have ways of reducing costs and operate more efficiently.

• I will work with existing and prospective businesses to find ways to make the city more attractive to new business.

• Continue using city website and social media assets to keep Novi Residents informed on city operations. Find new outlets to keep citizen informed of city workings.
