Novi Mayor, Council Members to be Sworn in Tuesday
The newly elected and re-elected officials will be honored at the Novi Civic Center.
The community is invited to a welcome reception Tuesday honoring re-elected Novi Mayor Bob Gatt, re-elected councilmen Justin Fischer and Andrew Mutch and newly elected councilwoman Gwen Markham.
The reception for the city officials will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Novi Civic Center Atrium. The swearing-in ceremony is at 6:45 p.m. prior to the regularly scheduled city council meeting.
Gatt, who was first elected in 2011, will continue for another two-year term. Fischer will start his second four-year term and Mutch will begin his third. Markham — the new face on city council — is an 18-year resident of Novi and ran for Oakland County Commissioner for the 9th District last year and Novi city council in 1997.
