National Girl Scout Cookie Day is February 8, 2013! It is also the kick-off of Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan's (GSSEM) annual cookie sale. The sale will launch at the Motown Winter Blast in downtown Detroit with the debut of GSSEM's Cookie Van, and continue through March 17, 2013. GSSEM Girl Scouts will sell Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos, Dulce de Leche, Thank U Berry Munch and Savannah Smiles.

When you buy Girl Scout cookies, you are helping to support girls' leadership skills development.  By participating in the sale, girls learn five important skills including goal setting, decision-making, people skills, business-ethics, and money management-all of which benefit them in their daily lives, whether running for school office, playing sports, or implementing projects to help their communities. Check out the video to learn more about how buying cookies helps girls become the leaders of today and tomorrow.
