Little Stars Foundation Uses Music to Help Children, Seniors

During the holiday season, group visited seven nursing homes and senior centers in Canton, Plymouth, Westland and Novi.

The Little Stars Foundation promotes youth music education, while providing an outlet for children who love music and care about senior citizens.

President Yihong Tong recently submitted information about the group in the Patch Volunteer Spotlight.

Here are Tong's answers.

What does your group do for the community?

The Little Stars Foundation is to promote youth music education in the community, while providing an outlet for children who love music and care about senior citizens. Kids visit the local nursing homes and senior centers periodically and perform music. The foundation brightens seniors’ lives by bringing music and gifts to them.

What's a fact about your group/volunteer that most people wouldn't know?

During this past holiday season we visited 7 nursing home and senior centers in Canton, Plymouth, Westland and Novi. We brought more than 360 fuzzy socks as gift to seniors and we performed the music to them.

How Can People Help Your Cause?
