200 Bicyclers Trek through Novi This Week

The bicyclers are making their way through Michigan on the six-day "Ride 2 Recovery" biking trip.

A group of 200 dedicated bicyclers will pass through Novi Wednesday as "Ride 2 Recovery" makes its way to Michigan.

"Ride 2 Recovery" is a national non-profit that works to improve the health and wellness of injured veterans. The group supports cycling programs to help veterans heal.

The bicycling troop will make its way from East Lansing to Novi. Their route includes traveling down Grand River Avenue, Beck Road and Twelve Mile Road before ending at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 27000 Karevich Drive.

The "Ride 2 Recovery" run began in Chicago on Saturday and will finish in Detroit on Thursday. Participants can ride for one day or all the way.

The ride is limited to 200 participants with a minimum $3,000 donation. The bicyclers are still looking for donations. To show support, visit www.ride2recovery.com or contact Linda Wagner at 757-963-1812.
