Cold Treats to Start the Summer

There certainly were parties once school was out for summer. Many Novi children went out to celebrate the end of another school year by visiting Stuarts of Novi.

Leah Lepharg, a Novi elementary school student, said that she enjoyed going to Stuarts not only for the ice cream, but also because of the donations the family-owned business gives to animal shelters.

Stuarts, which is located on 10 Mile and Meadowbrook, saw large crowds Thursday afternoon after the last elementary schools finally were let out. Long lines could be seen from the road, and a crowd of happy customers sat at the picnic table besides the ice cream parlor.
