Come Take a Listen @ the Library

Come take a listen @ the Novi Public Library on December 16th as we host a piano showcase.

You might not be aware of it but here at the Novi Public Library we’ve been hosting live musical events once a month on Sundays.  Whether it’s classical quartets, string quartets, (hey, we love quartets!)  flutists, or pianists, we have it all.  This series also known as Listen @ the library continues on Sunday, December 16th for the last concert of the year.  To end the year right we’re hosting a piano showcase of some of the most talented young musicians in the area.

This piano showcase will actually begin proper on Friday, December 14th when the Chamber Music Society of Detroit hosts a master class at Wayne State University with legendary pianist Menahem Pressler, founder of the Beaux Arts Trio.  This master class will give these musicians the chance to perform and receive coaching from this renowned teacher.  This program will be held at the Schaver Music Recital Hall at 3:30 pm for free.  Take a look at the Chamber Music of Detroit website or call 248-855-6070 to place a reservation.

If you can’t make it to this first session don't worry because these same musicians will be performing at the Novi Public Library on Sunday December 16th.  This program will start at 3:00 pm in our meeting room right next to the café and no registration is required.  So come take a listen and experience some fantastic music from some of the most talented up-and-comers to tickle the ivories.
