Meghan's Picks: Great Christmas Movies for the Family

From Charlie Brown to Dora, there's bound to be a holiday title that catches your eye at NPL.

Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, you still have time to get into the Christmas spirit by watching some of the holiday classics.  In case you’ve exhausted your supply of favorites, our children’s DVD guru Meghan Ebbitt has painstakingly handcrafted a list of some highlighted titles below.   If you see something you like just click on the title to place a hold and you can stop by NPL to pick it up.

Dora’s Christmas

Dora's too smart a cookie to leave Santa standard-issue snacks for Christmas. But when he slips through the chimney without spotting his gift, it's up to her and buddies Backpack, Boots, and the trusty Map to battle their way through snow-capped mountains and an icy river to ring his North Pole bell.

Franklin’s Christmas Gift

It's Christmas time and Franklin and his friends all agree to contribute a 'gently used' toy of their own to a needy child. However, Franklin finds that, for one reason or another, he can't part with any of his toys and settles on a rusty old broken toy truck.

I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown

Linus and Lucy's baby brother, Rerun, believes he'll be the happiest little boy in the world if he receives one very special Christmas gift - his own dog. Unfortunately, his mom won't get him one, and he doesn't have the ten million dollars Charlie Brown says it will cost to buy Snoopy. Rerun figures there must be a way, and when he learns that Snoopy's brother, Spike, is coming to visit, he decides that he'll adopt him.

Phineas and Ferb:  A Very Perry Christmas

Phineas and Ferb and Perry the Platypus set out to thwart Dr. Doofenshmirtz's 'naughty' plot to ruin Christmas. Will they get everything wrapped up in time for Santa's flyby?

Spot’s Magical Christmas

Spot and his friends are excitedly making preparations on Christmas Eve. When two reindeer ask Spot for his help to find Santa's special Christmas sleigh, everyone joins in the hunt. Spot manages to find the sleigh and the reindeer take him on a magical ride. On Christmas day there's an extra special surprise under the tree for Spot!
