Take a Trip to the Movies at the Novi Public Library

We’re almost through that “great grey beast February” and what better way to escape the cold blahs of the “longest” shortest month then by venturing into the fantastic world of cinema.  To that end NPL has produced a slew of material and programming to celebrate the magic of film. 

On Wednesday, February 27th take a whirlwind tour of movies from around the world with Erik Marshall, Film studies instructor at Oakland and Henry Ford Community Colleges.  See clips from classic foreign films and learn about exciting new movies from exotic locales.  For more information and to register for this program click here or call 1-248-349-0720.    

The February 24th airdate of the 85th Academy Awards is also fast approaching and we’ve got a handy list of all the previous winners that the library owns here.  We’ve also got a new display for new DVD’s and Blu-rays for your perusal so that you’ll never miss what’s hot.  If that’s not enough you can also take a look at our ever growing movie lists for adults here and for children here.  So take a break from the rain, snow, and sleet and warm up with a good flick.
