Attempted Theft of 203 Baby Formula Cans Fails at Novi Walmart
Confronted in the store's parking lot, two men who walked out with more than $3,000 worth of formula in carts left it all behind.
Two men who attempted to take 203 cans out of the Novi Walmart without paying for them Feb. 21 left the goods behind after an employee confronted them in the parking lot.
According to a Novi Police report, store security told police the two men in their 20s or 30s loaded the cans, valued at $15.48 each, into two carts and walked past cash registers without paying. When stopped in the lot, they left the carts behind and drove away in a silver or white 4-door vehicle.
One man was wearing a red baseball cap and red jacket, the other wore a dark knit cap and brown sweater, the report indicated.
