Kim Warren, former principal of Novi's Deerfield Elementary, was arrested in April on charges of being intoxicated on school grounds.

Former Novi principal Kim Warren entered a plea Monday to driving drunk, according to an article on LivingstonDaily.com

Warren, 44, of Brighton, was arrested in April under the suspicion of being intoxicated on school grounds at Novi's Deerfield Elementary and was charged with “super-drunk” charges. She was on administrative leave until asking the Novi school board in May for permission to resign from her position as principal.

She pleaded no contest Monday in Novi District Court to a lesser charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to the article. Warren’s results from two breathalyzer tests registered at .21 and then .20, more than twice the legal limit, according to WXYZ Channel 7.

In exchange for her plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss a second count of possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, according to LivingstonDaily.com.

Her sentencing is August 6.
