The resident sent a photo of the site, which alleged that she was distributing pornography.

A Novi resident contacted police Sunday afternoon to report an email virus that caused a fake FBI web page with pornographic images to pop up on her computer.

According to the Novi Police report, the web page carried an accusation that the woman was distributing pornography and ordered her to send a $300 "release fee" to unlock her computer. The woman contacted a family member employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who advised her to contact local police.
