Man Robs Kroger Employee at Gunpoint, Flees With Cash

Novi Police are asking anyone with information to call Detective Kevin Gilmore at 248-347-0551.

From a Novi Police Department press release:

This past evening, May 20, at approximately 11:58 p.m., a male subject wearing a Halloween Scream-type mask entered the Kroger store, located at 47650 Grand River Avenue, just west of Beck Road. The subject, described as unknown male wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, and black gloves, approached a Kroger employee, produced a handgun, and demanded money.

The employee handed over an unknown amount of cash. The subject then left the store, entered the passenger side of a black Toyota Prius, and fled the scene. No one was injured.

The incident is under investigation by the Novi Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to please contact Novi Police Detective Kevin Gilmore at 248-347-0551 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800 SPEAK UP (1-800-773-2587).

It's heartwarming to know that though he was a heartless criminal, he was still concerned enough with the environment to drive a fuel efficient hybrid getaway vehicle.
