Novi Police Search for Suspect in Chase Bank Robbery

Novi police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a Chase bank Thursday in Novi.

At about 3 p.m. Thursday, a bank employee called 911 to report that the bank, near the northwest corner of Eight Mile and Haggerty roads, had just been robbed, according to a news release from Novi police.

A man entered the bank, walked up to a teller and produced a note demanding money while implying he had a weapon, the release said. He fled the bank through the front door after he was handed an undetermined amount of cash. 

Police are looking for a white man with a thin build, between 50 and 60 years old and between 6 feet and 6 feet 6 inches tall, according to the release. He was wearing a black t-shirt, camouflage pants, and a tan or white baseball cap with an unknown dark colored design, the release said.
