Residents Report Thefts, Damage to Vehicles in Novi

Gift cards, a gym bag, a lap top and wheels are among the items taken, residents told police.

Novi Police are investigating several recent attacks on vehicles:

  • On Feb. 20, a resident on Pheasant Run reported the side passenger window of a Ford Explorer was smashed, causing about $500 in damage, some time between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. According to the report, the vehicle was parked in a lot, and nothing was taken, because the owner left nothing inside. 
  • A resident called police on Feb. 17 to report the theft of $300 in various restaurant gift cards from a vehicle parked on Lindbergh. According to the report, the vehicle had been left unlocked. 
  • On Feb. 20, a resident on Manor Park Drive called police to report the theft of wheels from a vehicle parked in the carport at Tree Top Meadows Apartment complex. According to the report, the locked 2012 Dodge Carger was left resting on bricks, and the lug nuts were left on the ground. 
  • Sometime between Feb. 14 and Feb. 17, a gym bag and laptop computer were taken from a vehicle parked on Hearthstone Drive. According to the report, the vehicle owner left the items in the car, which had been left unlocked and parked in the home's driveway.
