Novi Mayor Bob Gatt Announces Candidacy for Re-Election

Gatt vows to stay focused on fiscal responsibility and community safety.

Current Novi Mayor Bob Gatt has announced that he will be running for another two-year term in the Nov. 5 election, according to a press release.

Gatt was elected mayor in 2011 after serving eight years on the Novi City Council. He also served as Novi’s mayor pro-tem from 2008-2011 and in the Novi Police Department for 27 years.

“Let’s keep that momentum going!” said Gatt in the press release. “Novi is a becoming one of the greatest cities in the entire state of Michigan. I have been an active Leader in the Novi community for almost 40 years, and I vow to remain a dynamic part of this area.”

Gatt added that his experience, knowledge and dedication has laid a solid foundation for the City of Novi, which now is beginning to reap the benefits of a recovering state economy.

“We have worked hard, together, in our great quest for fiscal responsibility and community safety,” Gatt said. “I will stay focused on those two objectives for many years to come.”
