Novi Partners with MORE Program to Help Local Entrepreneurs

Novi's website now offers InsYght, a free online tool connecting small businesses and startups to more than 2,000 business-building resources.

Novi plans to enhance its entrepreneurial culture through a new partnership with the Matching Opportunities and Resources for Entrepreneurs (MORE) Program, a nonprofit program funded by the U.S. Department of Labor and supported by the New Economy Initiative, said a press release from the City of Novi.

The New Economy Initiative is a philanthropic effort to accelerate southeast Michigan's transition to an innovation-based economy.

All entrepreneurs who visit Novi’s Economic Development website will now have free access to MORE's matchmaking platform: InsYght. InsYght is an intuitive, Web-based tool designed to match Michigan entrepreneurs with business-building resources.

After accessing this portal, entrepreneurs type in their business needs—anything from office space to accounting help—and they are provided with listings of available resources that most closely match startups' business needs, both substantively and geographically.

“Novi is one of the strongest entrepreneurial cities in Michigan,” MORE Program Executive Director Ken Agacinski said in a statement.

“With thousands of easy-to-find catalogued resources, InsYght will help Novi’s entrepreneurs find exactly what they need, almost instantly, to turn their big ideas into real, money-making businesses.”

Ara Topouzian, economic development director for Novi, sees InsYght as a powerful tool for Novi’s future.

“What InsYght does is shorten the time it takes for entrepreneurs to connect with the resources they need,” he said in the press release. “Time is everything and InsYght saves days if not weeks of time.”

In the future, InsYght will serve as a portal to more than 26,000 available resources for Michigan entrepreneurs, says the press release. For nearly a year, the MORE Program has been gathering data on resources throughout the state and continues to add data every day.
