Help Restock Backpack Snacks at Orchard Hills Elementary

The Novi elementary school collects food to distribute to children who need it.

Novi's Orchard Hills Elementary School needs the community's help in restocking its shelves for the Backpack Snack program.

The school's Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is having a food collection drive for the program through the end of January. Those who can contribute may choose from the items below and drop them off in the green bin outside the school's main office.
  • granola bars or cereal bars (nut-free only)
  • 100 percent fruit snacks or fruit leathers
  • 100 percent fruit juice boxes/pouches
  • cereal boxes (nothing too big as it needs to fit in a backpack) or instant oatmeal pouches (nut-free only)
  • fruit cups (apple sauce or diced fruit in plastic containers or tab-top cans)

The PTO asks that you check labels and avoid sending in anything containing nuts and nothing in glass containers.
