A strong start to a busy season for the Shamrocks.

The Catholic Central Varsity Blue Team wrestlers convincingly opened their season on Saturday by posting a perfect 5-0 record on their way to

The Shamrocks did not lose a match in its group dual competition and defeated Ypsilanti Lincoln (82-0), Romeo (72-0), and Belleville (81-0).  The crossover duals proved slightly more challenging but with the end result being CC defeating Clarkston (59-12) and the host team Westland John Glenn (62-7).

The CC wrestlers have a busy week ahead as they host meets against Rochester and Rockford on Wednesday (beginning at 5 PM), Davidson at the annual “Assembly Match” on Friday (beginning at 1:45 PM), and then travel to the Tim Horn Memorial Team Tournament on Saturday at Holland High School (9 AM start).
