Catholic Central Wins State Semifinal
The team will face a championship rematch against Cass Tech on Nov. 24.
Catholic Central High School's varsity football team won the state Division 1 semifinal Saturday afternoon against Rockford, 35-6.
CC (9-4) will now head to the championship game, where the team will have a rematch of last year's final against Detroit Cass Tech (11-2).
The game will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24 at Ford Field in Detroit at 1 p.m.

Last year, Cass Tech defeated the Shamrocks 49-13 to take home the title.
CC beat Plymouth, Walled Lake Northern and Hartland in the playoffs this year, while Cass Tech won over Lake Orion, Saline, Dearborn and Grosse Pointe South.
