Novi To Offer New Girls Lacrosse League & Clinic

Those interested can attend an informational meeting on Jan. 17.

The Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department is offering a new lacrosse league and clinic for girls in grades 5-8.

The season is from March to May and cost is $190 for residents. All skill levels, from beginner to experienced, are welcome to play.

Practice will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Girls will play 6 games on Tuesdays, Thursdays or over the weekends in the Novi area. They will also attend one girl's lacrosse play day on a Saturday or Sunday.

If you are interested to help manage or coach, please contact Beth Donovan for details at bethd@miwwlc.com.  Rosters will be limited to 25 players per team/per grade level, so register early to secure your spot in the spring. You can register online at cityofnovi.org.

An informational meeting will be held on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Novi Civic Center to provide details on the game, equipment, and player commitment.  Players must provide their own mouth guard, eye gear, cleats and stick.
