Not Too Late for Summer Reading

Novi Woods Elementary School and the Novi Public Library offer several resources for summer reading.

Summer vacation is about halfway over for most Novi students. Have your kids been whiling away their days in front of the TV or computer without ever picking up a book?

Don't worry, because it's not too late to get your children enrolled in a summer reading program. Visit the Novi Woods Elementary School's Media Center online for its program and a chart to keep track of the time your child spends reading.

The Novi Public Library has a similar summer reading program for all ages, including teens and adults. To take part in the program, sign up and record reading minutes online at novilibrary.org or stop by the library, 45255 10 Mile Road, to register.

What books did you or your children read this summer? Which do you want to read? Tell us in the comments.
