Photo Contest, Week 4: Show Us Your Patch of Michigan and Win!

Show off your favorite photos from anywhere in the state. We'll award weekly prizes for the photos that say 'Michigan' in content, tone and spirit.

There are many things that make Michigan special – from Up North, downstate, in the U.P. and every place in between. Michigan has an allure that cannot be denied. So why not share your visions of Michigan in photos in our Your Patch of Michigan photo contest, and possibly win a prize for doing so?

, showing off some of what is the best Michigan has to offer – and more importantly, what Michigan means to each person.

For the entire summer, we'll pick a winner every week based on voting by a panel of Michigan Patch editors. Each weekly winner will get a prize.

For the week of June 18-24, we'll award a gift certificate or other prize worth approximately $50.

After Labor Day, we'll pick a grand prize winner from all of the weekly winners.

The grand prize winner will receive a certificate for a two-night stay at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island (to be used before Oct. 31, 2013, and blackout dates and other restrictions may apply). The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $600.

Do you need to be Ansel Adams to win this? No. The single qualification for photos you send is that they say "Michigan" to you. If it oozes "Michigan," it qualifies.

Colleen, sorry you missed that place to add your information. If you go back to the article, then go to the very bottom of the story and look for "edit photos & video" - click on that. Then click on the photo itself and a window will open up where you can add the caption ("click on an image to add a caption"). I hope that helps!
